Diabet

It's the fructose in the sugar that is problematic. Basically anything that tastes sweet from fructose. Not rice, bread, potatoes because these carbohydrates don't taste sweet. These are also not the cause of diabetes either. But if a person has diabetes, they may need to limit them.
